Join us for a fun and relaxed life drawing session at Brockley Brewery! Whether you’re a pro or have always wanted to give life drawing a try, this is your chance to draw the figure in person, an experience like no other!
Bring your sketchbook, grab a drink, and enjoy capturing inspiring poses in a friendly and informal setting. No pressure, just good vibes and sketching.
You'll have the chance to develop your drawings with experienced tutor, Joe Richardson, who will offer 1:1 feedback throughout the session.

Frequently asked questions
Which materials will be provided?
We will provide A4 cartridge paper, pencils and charcoal. Please bring any additional materials you would like to use.
Will there be easels?
Due to the size of the space we will not be able to accommodate easels. We will provide clipboards
Will there be a nude model?
Yes, this session will include a nude male model.
Can I take photographs of the model?
Under no circumstances can attendees take photographs or touch the model.
How will the session be structured?
You are welcome to draw as freely as you like. You will also receive prompts and suggestions from Joe Richardson who will look after time keeping and will provide you with frameworks to help you structure your drawings. You do not have to use these if you prefer not to.
What is 1:1 tutoring?
Joe will offer short pieces of constructive feedback to help you develop your drawings or take your drawings in a new direction. Please let the tutor know if you would prefer not to receive feedback.
Who is the tutor?
Your tutor will be Joe Richardson who has been teaching life drawing at UAL, City Lit and independently for 10 years. Joe holds an MA in Academic Practice, and MA Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, a PGCert in Academic Practice and an enhanced DBS.
